Oh man i totally thought that today was going to be the day that i got my mission call. All day at work people were checking in with me to see is my mail had come and i was getting more and more excited and nervous as the day went on. About an hour before i was suppose to go home i got a text from my mom saying that she got the mail and my call didnt come. I was so bummed even though i kind of already knew that it probably wasnt going to come today. But i still had hoped that it would. But now i am even more anxious for it to come.
Getting my call is pretty much the only thing on my mind. I am constantly thinking about where i will be serving and the moment when i open my call and every other little aspect of preparing to leave. I have even dreamed about opening my call which does not help my already little patience. Last night my mom even dreamed that i got my call and i was going to the washington d.c. temple...who knows what that means but i just thought it was interesting. I love seeing what people have guessed as to where i am going to go. I honestly have no inkling as to where i am going and i still have not figured out if thats a good or a bad thing.
I am kind of in the inbetween stage right now and its driving me absolutely nuts! I can't really go get clothes or luggage or temple clothing cause i have to wait for my call to do anything else. It's so annoying!! But it will all come soon enough and then i am going to be wishing for more time...ya can't always be pleased thats for sure! But it will be here soon enough and...I CANT WAIT!!!

Mission Shopping
Well I just got back from shopping with my mom for mission clothes. It was kind of exciting plus I got some super cute clothes! It was so weird to have to be thinking that far ahead in the future about what I can and cant wear. I had to examine everything to make sure they were garment worthy....I loved it!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!

My Baby Girl
These are pictures of my baby girl Claire and her brother Alex. Claire is the daughter of one of my best friends from work, Kate. Claire was born 3 months premature and was in the hospital for over a month maybe two i cant remember. I visited her all the time in the hospital. I was there the day after she was born and saw her while she was in the NICU. She weighed 2 lbs. 5 oz. when she was born.

I always joke around with Kate and I tell her that i am Claire's Godmother! I love this little girl so much!

Small and Simple Things
Wow, tonight i had such a great talk with Joe. We sat outside just sitting in some hammocks and talked for like at least an hour. It was so nice to be able to just talk to him like normal and not have all those awkward feelings get in the way that were there before. We talked about life and whats going on with both of us. We talked a lot about me going on a mission and alot about Joe's mission. There was laughter and there were tears, but I will always cherish that talk and the friendship that we share! We sure have had our rough times in the past and feelings were hurt but he will always mean so much to me!
It's the small and simple things in life that need to be appreciated more like talks with your friends or spending time with someone etc. There are a lot of times in my life that i wish i had just taken a step back and really cherished the moment a little bit more. I will regret not doing that more but its also been a lesson to me to not be so uptight and ready to move on so fast. I need to appreciate my life and those that are in it.
I really think preparing for a mission has helped me out immensely. I have really been able to learn what is most important to me in life and i have learned to not take little things for granted. I can already see a change in myself and i hope to continue to improve and to help those on my mission realize what i have realized. Life is too short to just rush through it without appreciating all that God has given to you! Take time to see the beauty around you and to let people know how much they really mean to you!!

Me and the Twins

I love my family so much! Like any other typical family we definitely have our moments where we dont get along but i dont know what i would do without them! They have gotten me through some pretty tough times in my life! I thank God every day for them being put into my lives. I am sure going to miss them when i leave on my mission but i know that while i am out the Lord will pour out blessings upon them for my service! I am so grateful for that!

The Waiting Game
Well as everyone know i am going to be going on a mission. I am getting more and more excited as it gets closer and also more nervous too. I met with the stake president yesterday to complete everything and my papers will be turned in tomorrow! I still can not believe that i am actually doing this. Reality has not quite set in yet and i am waiting for it to. I also started temple prep yesterday and I will begin mission prep on the 11th of April. Life is so crazy sometimes. It throws you curve balls and fast balls and if you are not ready they can rock your world. But i am so extremely grateful for this gospel! It has certainly gotten me through some very rough times in my life. I cant wait to dedicate my life to serving the Lord for 18 months!!
